WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for The Nightmare Before Christmas
Merry Christmas, everybody! Unless you’re reading this after Christmas in which case this intro bit is a little awkward now but whatever. The point is, is that I love Christmas and like most people, I have my own personal traditions I like to uphold. One of those is watching a certain movie. We all have at least one Christmas-related film or TV special we love to watch during the season and mine is The Nightmare Before Christmas.
WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for Digimon Adventure tri.
A few months ago, I wrote an article about my experience with the Digimon franchise, which was a result of me gaining an interest in the upcoming movie series Digimon Adventure tri. That series has since started with its first entry, Reunion (which was also distributed as four episodes) and, honestly, I’m hooked due to its combination of great animation, mature storytelling and sheer nostalgia.
As such, I am very excited for the rest of the series and I naturally have several things I hope to see and questions I want answered. So, here’s a quick wishlist of sorts of all the things I want to see in the future. Continue reading →
Anyone here remember Heroes? I do. Well, did you know it’s coming back? I remember rumours surrounding the show’s revival circling around a bit for a few years and it seems they held a bit of truth to them. The show was incredibly popular during its run and quickly expanded into other media that fleshed out the universe and told their own stories. It eventually ended after four seasons in 2010 and… boy, what an abrupt and unfulfilling ending it was. Continue reading →
When people talk about videogame music, it’s usually the tracks that inspire them; the tracks that get an emotion out of them or even tracks that cause nostalgia. This track does none of those things – it’s just frigging stupid, and that’s why I love it. Continue reading →
Who should be playable in the next Super Smash Bros? It’s a question that many have asked and even more have answered. Every time a new instalment is announced, people immediately begin debating as to who should make the cut. No other fighting game series seems to generate this much discussion. Smash Bros is kind of like the videogame equivalent of Hollywood; everyone’s desperate to make it there. Continue reading →
Me and my friends sometimes referred to certain pieces of music as ‘driving music;’ as in the kind of music you would play whilst driving your car. If I was cool enough, I would totally have this blaring out my speakers with the window down, sunglasses on and with one arm leaning on the side. Continue reading →
(WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for The Legend of Korra and Avatar: The Last Airbender)
Let’s talk about that Legend of Korra ending, shall we? Not the final episode, just the ending. I mean, that episode was pretty frigging great for a number of reasons but after it aired, a lot of people’s focus was on that last scene. If you’ve seen the show, then you know what I’m talking about. If you don’t, then go watch all four seasons, then come back and continue reading. Continue reading →

So, join me in my celebration of some of the most awesome women to grace our consoles. Continue reading →
No matter how many Pokémon games there have been and no matter how many there will be, there are and always will be some constants. One of them being your rival, a recurring character who will randomly catch you off guard to challenge you. You can’t really prepare for them since their team is usually balanced as opposed to the Gym Leaders; there’s no one Pokémon you can take advantage of. It’s one of the true tests of skill and it requires some hype music to accompany it. Continue reading →
