Before we begin searching for the baby Cubone, we check out what Celadon City has to offer and take on the local Gym Leader, Erika. Will we cut her down or will she kick our grass instead?

Our visit to Lavender Tower is interrupted when we come across a lost Cubone baby, prompting us to instead head towards Celadon.

To reach the next town, we must travel through the normally pitch black Rock Tunnel, which is filled with wild Pokémon to catch and other Trainers to battle.

For the next step on our journey, we need to reach the pitch-black Rock Tunnel. But to get there, we need to go through a different tunnel, teach our Pikachu a new technique, and battle plenty of Trainers.

With that pesky bush out of the way, we can finally enter the Vermilion City Gym and take on Lt. Surge. Are we in for a shocking victory or will the former soldier leave us frazzled?

If we want to get into the Vermilion Gym, we need to learn how to cut down a bush. And to do that, we need to track down the captain of the S.S. Anne.

After leaving Bill’s place, we foil a robbery and then head for our next destination – Vermilion City.

Our rival claimed to have seen a talking Pokémon, so naturally we must investigate. But before that, we’ve got a bunch of Trainers to battle through and party members to toughen up.
