So how about that eighth Harry Potter book, eh? As someone who grew up reading the adventures of everyone’s favourite boy wizard, the announcement of another installment in the series left me feeling a number of various emotions – curiosity arguably being the biggest one. While I have since grown out of my Harry Potter phase, I couldn’t help but be somewhat interested in what exactly J.K. Rowling had in store for us now that Harry and friends were all grown up and had kids of their own, especially when it was confirmed that this new story would be a stage show. Continue reading

WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for Dragon Ball Z

Basically, the point of these articles is to simply cover specific moments across all of fiction – books to TV, films to videogames etc. – that I personally loved, whether they be a climactic final battle, a passionate declaration of love or just a little character moment. And for our first one, it’s a scene from an anime that, despite its popularity, I’m not actually a fan off. Continue reading

It’s that time of year again! At the end of last year’s review of Volume 2, I was feeling slightly more confident about the future of RWBY, but was that confidence well-placed? It’s hands down one of my favourite videogame franchises because of its writing, its characters, its mysteries, its style and the fact that it makes the courtroom seem awesome. I’ve watched legal dramas before on TV that make the whole “lawyer” thing seem cooler than it really is but Ace Attorney has the added bonus of making you, the player, feel awesome too.

So, since this month marks the series’ 15th anniversary, I figured now would be the time to see how each game stacks up against each other. Which one do I love the most, which one do I love the least and which ones go in between? Continue reading
